Fees

Fees vary according to the type of room requested/allocated. All lodging is based on 40 week tenancy, and all catering is based on 28 week residency.

There are three payment options. Residents may elect to:

  • pay for the full year upfront and receive a $100 discount; or
  • pay per semester (2 payments per year); or
  • pay by the term - a total of 4 equal instalments.

The fee schedule for 2012 is as follows:

Lodging: 35 weeks

$9,500

Meals: 28 weeks

$1,500

Total:

$11,000

Payment Options:

Term Payments (4 instalments):

$2,750

OR Semester Payment Option (2 instalments):

$5,500

OR Full year Upfront (including discount): $10,900

Lodging: 40 weeks

$8,000

Meals: 28 weeks

$1,500

Total:

$9,500

Payment Options:

Term Payments (4 instalments):

$2,375

OR Semester Payment Option (2 installments):

$4,750

OR Full year Upfront (including discount): $9,400

There are several reasons for this, including the fact that

1) being in a regional area enables the College to operate more cost-effectively;
2) all residents take turns at setting up for meals and cleaning up after meals, thereby cutting labour costs significantly;
3) the College is subsidised financially by the Catholic Diocese of Wagga Wagga.

This levy is charged to all residents living on campus at CSU, which enables residents to have high speed internet access at 1 cent per megabyte. [Please note that this is NOT a fee of St Francis’ College, as the University IT department owns and maintains the phone and data network within St Francis’ College.]
